We were blessed with a beautiful day on Tuesday for our Book Character Parade. Our tamariki (and their whānau!) went to so much effort with their costumes. Everyone looked amazing all dressed up and some even stayed in character for the day which was fun as well. A special shout out to our Student Council who judged our parade and also organised an excellent afternoon filled with book quizzes, riddles and challenges. Tamariki completed these challenges and were then given a code to crack! We were very impressed with the leadership of our Student Council.

In class tamariki have been researching different New Zealand Authors. They will be presenting what they have found out to each other early next week.
On Monday we have our Student Led Conferences, thank you to everyone who has already signed up on Hero. All classes have been busy working on their curiosity projects to also showcase during this time, they are looking very impressive. Research shows that one of the most effective ways for ākonga to improve their achievement is to develop their ability to talk about their learning and progress, so thank you for taking the time to come along and see what your child has been learning.
