It’s been a busy and exciting fortnight filled with rich learning experiences. We’ve explored the fascinating world of bees and now minibeasts, celebrated Catholic Schools’ Day, enjoyed sharing our learning during the Learning in Action morning, and most recently, embraced the vibrant celebration of Samoan Language Week.
This year’s theme, ‘Ia malu lou sā. Folau i lagimā – A well-grounded self is a successful self,’ has inspired a beautiful range of creative expression from our tamaiti. They have explored sensory (not sight) stations while exploring/ telling the story of Losi the Giant Fisherman and have created Siapo cloth inspired i'a | fish.
Creative expression has also been continued through our tamaiti’s version of the Hongi – Breath of Life, and Picasso-inspired expressive faces. Overall, it is an impressive collection of art, so we warmly invite you to pop in and take a look—there’s something special for everyone to enjoy.
Congratulations to Charlie Smith and Sakora Walker who have qualified for the Cross Country Interzones.

Over these ten days, we celebrate two significant feasts - the Ascension of Christ and Pentecost
On the feast of the Ascension, we celebrate the moment that the Risen Jesus was raised up to heaven to be with his Father. But we can also celebrate all the moments after that because Jesus did not leave us alone. He said, “I am sending the promise of my Father upon you” (Luke 24: 49). As we’ll see on the feast of Pentecost, Jesus will send the Third Person of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit, to Mary and the Apostles. The Holy Spirit is still with us today. Through the Holy Spirit, we have the fullness of Jesus’ presence with us today and always! That’s something to celebrate!
Jesus, thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to us!
Christ did not leave us alone - he sent his Holy Spirit | Te Wairua Tapu to help guide and support us through our day. From Te Wairua Tapu we receive 7 gifts -
